The company “Intelligently Artificial Corp”, or I.A. Corp, has built a functioning mechanically animated robotic librarian called “Marial” which it hopes to market to libraries domestically and internationally.

This was for an assignment for my Web3D class in which we used the x3D language to model, code and animate a 3D scene in which a robot was to pick up a library book and return it to a shelf.

I personally think it went quite well, though there are elements missing such as a laser designed to scan the book amongst other things.

The x3D language is a difficult one to master because it is often confusing. Animation has a lot of trial and error and the code can be quite non-cohesive at times.

I hope you enjoyed this, I'm not going to put the actual file up because it requires Flux Player installed to view and its not exactly a download you'd want on your computer right now. But it was a fun little animation
